Rick Theobald joined Waddell & Reed in 2000 after moving to Tallahassee from Auburn, Alabama, where he held the position of Head Diving Coach at Auburn University. He had a 15 year coaching career defined by success as he led the Tigers divers during 3 NCAA championship seasons in 1996, 1997, and 1999. He received the NCAA Coach of the Year award in 1987.
Rick holds the professional designation of Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC) and holds various securities licenses including Series 7, 63 & 65. He has qualified for the Waddell & Reed Circle of Champions several times and is a 2014 Crest Award Winner*.
As a Financial Advisor with Waddell & Reed, he is looking to use his experience and knowledge to help clients pursue their financial goals. Rick attributes his successes to the support of his family, his wife, Barb Theobald and the love of his two daughters, Erin and Jordan. His interests include; training his dogs, playing guitar and golf.
